Audio International’s AV-3232-0x-x is a versatile and compact audio/video distribution unit comprised of two (2) functional modules; audio control and video control.  Using commands issued from switch panels, touch screens, or electroluminescent panels, the module distributes the audio/video signals received from the entertainment equipment to monitors, cabin speakers, and headphones. 
       This unit is part of a complete cabin audio and video entertainment system and is specifically designed to meet the special requirements of aircraft use.  Application of the unit is specific to particular aircraft based on the desires of the customer or designer.

The “-0x” in the model number designates the configuration of the unit.

     Audio International’s AV-4589-01-x allows up to eight entertain- ment audio and four video source inputs to rout into nine audio and 12 video sources.  It is utilized as a master controller for all audio and video sources controllable via AI’s proprietary RS-485 data bus.  PA and briefer audio inputs are also provided.  When activated, the PA and briefer audio inputs will override entertainment audio inputs.
     Four video sources can be connected to each unit.  Twelve video outputs allow the distribution unit to display multiple video inputs on separate monitors independently.
     Nine audio outputs can be configured to connect with the digital equalizer(s) or headphone panel jack(s).  These outputs allow independent selection of audio, volume, bass, and treble functions.  All input and output levels are electronically adjustable via AI’s serial data bus controller.
     The AV-4589-01-x is equipped with a power-input converter.  This converter allows the unit to convert a +28 VDC input to a +12 VDC, 3 Amps (maximum) per output.

   The AV-4590-0x-x is used to provide audio and video selections for the cabin entertainment system.  The AV-4590-0x-x allows up to 8 entertainment audio inputs plus 13 independent Audio-on-Demand inputs and 24 audio outputs.  Dual ten-band graphic equalizers and audio mute input are provided along with two ID inputs to allow up to four units to be installed on the same data bus.  
   The unit is configurable via the data bus to individually set power up defaults for audio selection, volume, bass and treble control.  Twelve input arrangements for video sources can be connected to each Audio/Video Distribution Unit.  
   The unit is equipped with 16 video outputs.  These video outputs allow the distribution unit to display multiple video inputs on separate monitors independently.  The unit is equipped with a video briefer key input and the video briefer source may be configurable via AI’s proprietary RS-485 serial data bus.  Power up default video selection is configurable for each output.  Video briefer and PA are independent of each other.

   Audio International’s AV-4596-0x-x Audio/Video Distribution Unit provides a switching matrix for complex systems utilizing multiple sources for audio and video entertainment.  Any audio or video station can select, via switches or control panels, any of the source equipment in the system.
   A versatile tool for audio and video entertainment, the AV-4596-0x-x has inputs for up to 16 audio sources, video sources, and 16 outputs for up to 16 audio stations and video stations.  Video inputs and outputs utilize coaxial cable.
   The AV-4596-0x-x has input for PA Audio for distribution to the audio stations.  A key input overrides entertainment audio when the PA system is activated.  A Video Briefer key input is available to override entertainment video when the video briefer is activated.  The source for the Video Briefer is configurable.
   Control, power-up configuration, and interface of the unit with other components are handled by Audio International’s RS-485 serial data bus.  Binary pin ID inputs allow unique identification for up to eight     AV-4596-0x-x units operating on the same data bus.

     Audio International’s A/V-9691-01-x is a DO-160 tested integrated audio/video controller that provides multiple source selection, multiple output distribution, a high fidelity audio power amplifier, and complete PA/chime functionality.  This integrated cabin entertainment unit cuts both cost and weight, frees valuable aircraft space, and simplifies wiring.
     Eight entertainment audio and video sources inputs; 16 audio (headphones) and 16 video stations outputs; and four speaker outputs that can be configured for either full-range speakers or subwoofers make the A/V-9691-01-x an excellent choice for premium cabin entertainment systems.  Dual ten-band digital equalizers allow fine-tuning of the sound field for each aircraft.
     Power output is rated at 4 x 75 WRMS into 4 Ω, less than 1% THD.  To ensure quality performance, a Weight-On-Wheels input increases or decreases amplifier output levels, automatically changing speaker outputs when the aircraft is airborne.
     A/V-9691-01-x provides full aircraft PA/chime functionality; there are three prioritized microphone inputs and an audio briefer input.  PA and briefer input keys override entertainment audio and a video briefer key input overrides entertainment video.  Designed to allow flexible config- uration of chime function, the unit generates two-tone and single-tone high and low chimes with multiple inputs for each.  Microphone Audio Inputs for the A/V-9691-01-x have a maximum gain of 1.
