This 3" speaker driver is combined with a solid milled aluminum enclosure chassis incorporating custom dampening techniques to provide one of the best compact aircraft entertainment speakers offered in the industry.  A shallow depth and mounting hole attachment points simplify the installation process.

        Audio International’s EN-101W-X-Y is a high quality compact and ultra-light speaker enclosure featuring a state-of-the-art 5" speaker intended for use with aircraft entertainment audio systems.  Aircraft speaker installations demand maximum optimization in space and weight savings while, at the same time, requiring superior audio performance for today’s discerning passengers.  Having a depth of less than 3" and weighing less than four pounds, the EN-101W-X-Y certainly delivers on these requirements. 
       Designed with innovative speaker technology, this unique enclosure consists of a 5" damped polymer composite cone utilizing a hexatech aluminum voice coil—one of the smallest in the industry—without sacrificing any of the rich audio performance and power every passenger deserves.  A unique design allows the EN-101W-X-Y to incorporate an extremely large diameter aluminum voice coil to guarantee high-precision sound production. 
        A smooth response time with excellent on- and off- axis response and good roll off combined with high power handling results in a very impressive high-performing compact unit.  With its shallow depth, mounting hole attachment points, and 12" pigtail connector, installation is a breeze.
