International’s AI-TSELD35A-xx-x series Electroluminescent
(El) Panels offer total entertainment and cabin management
control through a touch-sensitive solid-state
Electroluminescent display. This menu-driven interface features an unparalleled
level of control from a minimum number of components. A breakdown of the differences between the models
follows.
Unit
–02 utilizes a microcontroller and has added left-hand
headphone jacks.
Unit
–03 utilizes a microcontroller and has added
right-hand
headphone jacks.
Unit
–04 utilizes a microcontroller, but no headphone
jack.
Unit
–05 operates exactly as does the –02 model
(with
left-hand headphone
jacks) but the headphone jack and
+12 Vdc power are reversed.
Unit –06 operates exactly as does the –03
model (with
right-hand
headphone jacks) but the headphone jack and
+12 Vdc
power are reversed.
Unit
-13 operates as does the –04 unit, with an
added
left-hand piezo
buzzer element.
AI-TSELD35A-xx-x El Panels are used to control other modules and components on
Audio International’s proprietary
RS-485 serial data bus through graphic
images displayed on the panel. Pressing these images sends commands out over the
RS-485 serial data bus to other modules in order to
control volume, audio selections, speakers, etc. The
user interface for the El Panels can be customized to suit a
customer’s requirements. The
software is configurable to individual aircraft.
Optional
cover bezels are provided separately. El Panels provide a spring and lock tab for the simple
mounting and removal of the cover bezel.
Adjustable cam-lock mechanisms are provided on each end
of the El Panel to provide front-loadable mounting.
The
“-xx” in the model number designates the configuration of
the unit.
The “-x” suffix denotes the type of connector
utilized;
“-1” and “-3” = Positronic and “-2” and “-4” =
D-Subminiature (ITT
Cannon). |
