Audio International’s VSS-0408-01-x provides 4 x 8 “crossbar” switching for multiple monitors and video sources. The unit inputs up to four video sources that can be independently selected at up to eight monitors.
    This unit is designed to replace all previous models of the         VSS-480-xx. DIP switches allow the functionality of the unit to change to match all previous versions of the VSS-480-xx and more.

The “-x” suffix designates the type of connector utilized; 
“-1” = Positronic and “-2” = D-Subminiature. 

    Audio International’s VSS-0804-01-x provides 8 x 4 “crossbar” switching for multiple monitors and video sources.  The unit inputs up to eight video sources that can be independently selected at up to four monitors.  Input signals are supplied to the unit via BNC connectors 1 through 8.  The output signal is directed out through BNC’s 9 through 12.  Status LED outputs are provided for positive feedback on the video source that has been selected.  The status outputs may be used to drive LED’s or digital displays.
    The unit will replace all previous models of the VSS-840-xx.  DIP switches will allow the functionality of the unit to change to match the functionality of the most frequently used versions of the VSS-840-xx multi-channel cabin video source selector.

    Audio International’s VSS-0808-01-x is a multi-channel cabin video source selector.  The module has eight independent differential video source inputs and eight independent video outputs.  Any of the video source inputs may be routed to any of the video source outputs, and all outputs are capable of providing output for the same single video input source concurrently.  Each video output is capable of driving most CRT and LCD displays.  Output gain is 1:1.
   The VSS-0808-01-x has a PA video briefer input for video briefing.  Any input can be configured as the briefer source by using setup software during initial installation.  Initialization software can also be used to determine the power-up defaults for each output.
   For communication interface purposes, the VSS-0808-01-x communicates over the RS-485 serial data bus interface.  Strapping ID pins located on the unit can be used to allow up to eight identical units to exist on the same data bus segment by providing a method for which each unit may be individually addressed.
   One discrete ground input is used to provide control of video briefer activation to the unit.

   The VSS-0x-xx-T (-NT) is a dedicated video source selector / amplifier.  The unit is designed to accept from two to four video input sources and select one video output using a momentary ground sequencing input.

     This lightweight and versatile unit is designed to replace all previous models of Audio International Video Selector units through the use of configurable DIP switches.  VSS-401-x also combines input select functionality:  Sequential select – one connector pin selects the next-in-sequence input upon activation, and Random select – four connector pins selects the input designated to that pin.
